When I first spotted this beauty, I thought, Oh Man, no way could I pass it up. Other than resizing, this is straight out of camera and handheld to boot. Thanks so much for viewing. Canon EOS Rebel t5 with Canon EF-S 55~250mm, IS, II lens. 1/60s,F/14, ISO 100, Manual Exposure Mode, No Flash, Focal Length 84mm with Partial Metering Mode. TT
Thanks very much Ray. I am considering using my Canon gear exclusively as I cannot get the reds to turn out this well with other gear. I am considering getting a Canon EOS 7D and wonder if you or anyone you know has had any experience with one. Thanks again, Tony
Tony, a mate that I have been shooting with at least once a month for the past 15 years has just assigned his 7D to backup camera as it has had so much use (a 5D has now become his main body) and my cousin has a 7D II and both of those cameras have served their owners very well without any problems that I know of. I am confident that you would be pleased with its performance. I would be happy to own one.
I have read many glowing reviews regarding the 7D. I understand it was Canon's entry level professional release when it first came out. I see some very good prices around the Internet. Many thanks for your endorsement. Tony
I have a 7D. What do you want to know about it? It is a metal chassis, feels solid in your hands camera. Fast to autofocus, good exposure, nothing feels plastic in the hand. It feels like it is built to last. Uses CF cards. I think it is a brilliant camera. I would recommend it to anyone. It feels as if you could drop it without any issues, not that I am suggesting that you do that. Good battery life as well. Drop me a PM with your email details, and I will send you some RAW files with red flowers, and you can play with these files to your hearts content. Gary
Hi Gary, Thanks very much for your response. I need to know how one sends a PM to another member here. Regards, Tony
Tony, at the top right just to the right of your name there is an envelope icon. Click on that and then click on "Start a new Conversation" and enter the member's name.
Actually, no, he isn't. His handle is GDN. That was my mistake. I thought it resolved names but it doesn't.
