    Hi All

First time post. I've made a resolution to start using my camera more in order to get better with it (I've had it for over 6 years now and have hardly used it).

I recently purchased an Andoer Ad-560ii to use as an external flash, but I can't get the blasted thing to fire at the same time as the camera (And it doesn't come with a manual). Does anyone have any experience of using this or have any advice.

    Thanks

You may have a few issues happening.
    1. How fast is the shutter on the image? If your shooting faster than 1/200 that would be the first issue, you need a capable setup that can do high speed sync if you are not using a slow shutter speed.
    2. This looks like it works as a very simple optical trigger when off camera, which means the other flash fires and it immediately goes off, any hesitation in the optical would be problematic. I would hope that that is not the issue as the product is new and hasn't been damaged. Can I assume your shooting an on camera flash to trigger this off camera? If so I think #1 may be the larger problem with the shutter being too fast for the optical setup.

Keep in mind a slave can be problematic outside of a studio setup, with enough ambient light or distance it can be hard for the optical trigger to be fired.

https://www.lightingrumours.com/andoer-ad560-ii-review-8596 This is a pretty basic flash from what i can tell, it seems to lack some of the features from the other flashes it was modeled after. I would definitely recommend the TTL/HS yongnuo's which are not much more expensive over it. I have the old generation of the 622C triggers that work great with my canon flashes, so they have earned some trust with me as a 3rd part brand.
