No, not at all. They just look scary, especially for anybody who does not like spiders. To give you an idea of size, he (she?) would be about 2 1/2 inches across with front legs extended. They won't attack you. They usually run away faster than you can if you try to catch them.
They are pretty cool, I used to have one as a pet in my toilet, till my ex moved in and drowned the poor bugger in fly spray. What is it with women and not liking a bloke's pet spider!
Some people think that a good spider is a dead spider. While that may be true for some spiders it does not apply to a huntsman.
