Canon 450D with Yashica ML 50/2 - likely f2.8 to f4. I reckon that this is not the best shot out there, and I could've don better in post for the aberrations in the petals ( I just notice it after posting it on Flickr). Nevertheless, I wanted to show off the beauty and sharpness of the ML series; great lenses easily adaptable to EOS bodies without additional glass.
Very nicely captured. Love that sharpness where it is supposed to be. This is a very pretty image. Thnx for sharing. TT
That is a bright and sharp image, Ed. It does show how sharp that lens is. What do you have to do to mount one on an EOS body?
I acquired one of these puppies - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073XJ741J/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It goes on very tight into the EOS body... but comes out well, without struggle... the struggle comes in with the small flange inside the adapter that traps the C/Y lens in place - again, does not affect the EOS body, but there is some play with the lens (C/Y) and adapter once off the camera. Nothing to worry about if one is careful and analyzes the situation carefully. While writing this response I took the lens+adapter off my 450D and thereafter the adapter off of the C/Y lens. Hands only.
Many thanks, Ed. I don't have any Yashica ML lenses (yet!) but I will keep that in mind if ever one comes my way.
