I got the M50 a couple of weeks ago and I was really pleased that I got the best value for money, $999 for a Video Creator Kit with the Canon M50, 15-45MM Lens, Rode Mic, extra batteries, memory cards and loads of other useful accessories.

I went on Amazon today to leave a review of Bundle and was shocked to discover that the M50 has gone down by $200, anyone know why? It hasn't been 2 months since the m50 launched so why the significant reduction in price?

I *suspect* the cheaper M50 is a "gray market" unit with no USA Canon warranty.

Nothing at the moment but want to get started in the DSLR world. Used to have a Nikon F series back in the day of film cameras.
From past experience years ago I think it may be gray market too.

Unfortunately, Amazon has a LOT of different vendors selling 'stuff' - when it comes to photographic equipment, you need to be really careful who you're actually purchasing from. Generally, if it's actually fulfilled by Amazon, then it's a USA warranty product - otherwise, buyer beware!!
