Tony, this is a unique plant and flower, I have only seen this once before and that is in the Royal Hobart Botanical Garden.
So Craig, how is the healing process progressing? Getting around a little bit better than before? Keep apprised of your condition, please. Thnx, Tony
Thanks Tony, healing is ahead of schedule and the Occupational Therapist has told me to ditch the crutches about 3 week ago and two weeks ago said I no longer needed to see him and to continue on with what I am doing, that is light exercise classes and digging under my house to build my darkroom. There has been no moisture under my house for many decades and it is like chiseling away at concrete. I have also purchased a new toy and lenses. A Mamiya 645, 3 lenses and a 2 times extender. As a after thought I have coming a Mamiya 645 to EOS adapter to use the lenses on my 1D mark 3 and my 60D. The 645 will give a rectangular negative 6 by 4.5 compared to the C3 which is 6 by 6, should make nice landscapes blown up. I need to get the darkroom finished before I will use it. I had to resist temptation and not buy the 500mm lens, maybe next year sometime. Put the 500mm and 2 times extender on my 60D should give an interesting bit of reach.
Well, great to hear about your recovery is ahead of schedule. I am excited for you with all the purchasing you have been doing and in addition a Darkroom to boot. Should be more than enough to keep you from getting bored. Very much to photograph on your island or do you at times go to the mainland for opps? Would love to visit your beautiful country some day. Cheers Mate, tony
Thanks, Tony, I have been collecting the equipment for the darkroom for the last 12 months, little bit by little bit. Two days before my little mishap I had just started digging.
