January Monthly Challenge - "Aperture"

    I did not need to nick it, I just told her I was taking another image of the plant while she made me a cup of coffee, she thinks the plant's common name is "Pig'sEar IMG_0112.JPG A member of the suculent family of plants.
    This time I did away with the bellows and 135mm and used a 55mm F2.0 with 2 close up filters , a +1 and +2. settings were ISO at 640, shutter at 1/400th and of cause the aperture at F11.0.
    ps. it was still windy.

    After having another look at this image I thought how it would look if I cropped it a bit with more enfisis on the main flower.
    If you click on the image and zoom in, it looks realy cool.

    Craig, nice photograph. As this plant is shaped like an artichoke, it is known as cat artichoke, and other names such as Jupiter's beard, consolva, etc.

    John L, reat photo this photograph the depths of field, generate a three-dimensional effect, the blur first, then the focused area and finally another light blur.

    Thanks for the information, José, I generally have no idea what these plants are.
    This image took several trys to get it right, I think it turned out alright in the end.

    Sorry we are out of Batman socks but would some wonder woman stocking surfice. Fishnet ones I believe.
